How to make a claim

Making an insurance claim shouldn’t make a hard time even harder. The North Cover team will keep the process as simple as possible, so you or your loved ones can receive the payout quickly and easily. Here’s how to get in touch if the time comes.

Step 1: Contact us

Your beneficiary should notify North Cover that a claim will be made. Simply call us at 1-888-441-45581-888-441-4558 or email us at northcoverclaims@teacherslife.com and we will help you get the process started.

Step 2: Complete the required claim form and provide:

  • proof of the insured’s death or terminal illness diagnosis
  • the insured’s identity, including their date of birth
  • the attending physician statement
  • the beneficiary / claimant’s identity and right to claim

Depending on your claim, we may also require further information and documentation, such as, but not limited to, a death certificate, coroner report, toxicology report or autopsy report, if one has been issued, as may be required by applicable laws.

Once you have initiated a claim, please contact Teachers Life on 1-888-441-45581-888-441-4558 for any further queries related to your claim.

Step 4: Claim review

For a claim to be fully assessed, we require the completed claim form and supporting documents, as well as any additional information we may request.

Approved claims are generally paid within 2-5 business days.

If we are unable to pay your claim, we will explain why, and you will have the opportunity to present additional information to support your claim.
